"Buried" sounds like "Burial" who tbh is about the only electronic artist who makes me more excited than Shlohmo these days. But with only "Temple Sleeper" and "Lambeth" to show for all of 2014 and 2015 thus far, Shlohmo's hype new album with a definite name and art and a release date is sorta edging him out. And wow, music like this too! This is another wonky banger to be sure, with all the awesome fuzzy beats and distorted samples and slight arhythms that get stuck in my head for days... but something else is happening, right? With the guitar, and the live drums, and the general structure of the whole thing? It's... post rock, isn't it? This song is, in a lot of ways, a real post rock crescendocore banger. And hey wow that's awesome too, I love those kind of sounds. I dunno I don't have much else to say about this. Can't wait for the album!!
